Fundamentals for Professional Trainers

In this interactive session, you will explore the foundational elements necessary for learners to transfer training to the workplace and help you transition from subject matter expert to trainer.

Course Description

Effectively training people is more than putting together a PowerPoint presentation. Today's trainers need to target their learner's needs, manage a diverse classroom, and use a variety of training methods. 

 After your active participation in this two-day class, you will be able to:

1. Use a systematic approach to designing training
2. Assess the need for training
3. Identify when training is not the appropriate performance solution
4. Design effective training programs using the Training Design Template
5. Select from over forty engaging, interactive training methods
6. Create training visuals, materials, and resource
7. Use graphic design principles to create impactful materials and visuals
8. Facilitate engaging training
9. Deal with difficult situations during training
10. Evaluate training program success
