UC Davis is recruiting a new Chief Human Resources Officer and Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources

As an integral member of the leadership team, the Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer, or AVC/CHRO, supports the university by working collaboratively with leadership, management, faculty and staff across UC Davis, UC Davis Health, the Office of the President and key external constituents to enhance the university’s ability to achieve its people objectives, and sustain a culture that sees people as the university’s greatest strength.

Central to this role is the need to ensure a workplace that prioritizes respect, positive relations, diversity, equity, inclusion, well-being and supports the university’s mission.

As a member of the Vice Chancellor-Finance, Operations and Administration’s leadership team, the AVC/CHRO leads their team to plan, implement, evaluate and improve organization-wide programs and services including talent acquisition, talent management, executive programs and recruitment, organizational excellence employee and labor relations, performance management, compensation, classification, the Shared Services Organization, rewards and recognition, investigations (UC Davis Health), workforce strategies/Human Resources Information Systems, Academic and Staff Assistance Programs, and disability management.
