Contracts & Policies

We develop local policies and procedures, and work with the UC Office of the President to ensure that the views of all employees are represented in the design of systemwide policies.

Systemwide policies, such as PPSM, apply to all campuses and laboratories. UC Davis policies and local procedures are developed by Human Resources and issued by the Offices of the Chancellor and Provost. UC Davis policies, such as PPM, and local procedures apply to all units under the jurisdiction of UC Davis, located in Davis, Sacramento, and all off-site locations.

Day-to-day guidance for supervisors and employees regarding personnel policies and procedures is provided by Employee and Labor Relations. To comment on or suggest changes to personnel policies and procedures, contact our personnel policy administrator.
