Announcing Learning and Organizational Development Department

As part of Human Resources’ ongoing reorganization, we are excited to announce the merging of HR’s Learning and Development and Organizational Excellence departments.

This strategic alignment creates the new Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) department and is designed to streamline our efforts to develop individuals, teams, leaders, and systems on the Davis campus and at UC Davis Health. 

By integrating the strengths of both teams, we enhance our ability to deliver high-quality development opportunities and strategic initiatives that support our employees and organizational goals.

One of the most exciting aspects of this change is the opportunity to foster closer collaboration between our learning initiatives and organizational effectiveness engagements. Our teams already work closely together on several projects, such as staff engagement surveying and manager and leadership development initiatives, demonstrating the natural fit and collaborative potential of this new structure. We believe that pooling our strengths will benefit leadership development, team effectiveness, and change management across UC Davis and UC Davis Health.
